Contemplation
Sometimes I wonder what is going through his sweet little head, especially when he is making new discoveries. What must it feel like to see the world from an entirely new position, to feel the warm evening breeze suddenly blow against your face, to feel the thrill and excitement of the sudden appearance of one of the dogs?

Watch Out Mom
Today Max had a first that took me by surprise. I was babysitting for some friends from church. They have a 2 year old and a newborn. The baby slept most of the time I was there, but he did wake up for the last hour of my time with them. Well Max could not handle the sight of Mama holding another baby. He freaked out! I think that he was scared at first because the baby was crying and Max doesn't seem to like loud noises. (Lately, he's been snuggling up real close to me if he hears a loud noise.) But then, when I couldn't pick him up because of holding the other baby, he had a meltdown. Needless to say, the little sucker is still in his car seat and fast asleep because of exhausting himself. We'll just make sure we get some good snuggle time in before bed tonight. :-)

First Professional Photo Shoot
Yesterday, Max had his first photo shoot. We were a little worried because our appointment was at 5:00 and he usually starts getting tired around then. We actually didn't even start taking the pictures until 5:30 but as you can see he still had plenty of smiles left in him. For all of you who are going to be printing these pictures off the blog (like Omi), we have ordered a lot, so you will be getting some of them!!! :-)

Hair Style and Celery
This is us and Kristen at our church's swing dance. Max loves Kristen!
Max wanted something to chew on so I gave him a cold celery stick. It was a hit after the initial look of disgust.
I don't know what this face was about, but I had to share it with you.
Do you like the way cool hair style my dad gave me? All the chicks at church dig it!
