Traces of Spring

One of my favorite things about moving is the surprise of Spring. You never know what is going to pop up right outside of your door. Here are some examples.

Family and Raisins

This is when Pop Pop and GiGi came for a visit. Max had such a good time with them. He really liked Gigi's earrings. He also played ball with Pop Pop almost the entire time! (I think the 2 of them must have had a talk because...

...a few days later, raisins became one of Maxi's favorite snacks, even though mom cannot stand them! Pop Pop likes to tease me about that quite a bit.)

For some reason Max likes to lay flat on the floor sometimes. Maybe he is so in awe of the shoes that GiGi got for him.

Here he is practicing for the beach. He looks ready to go.

I didn't figure out until later that the lense had a smudge on it. :-( But I thought you had to see his silly face in this picture. He also is showing off his Edelweiss shirt.

Bubble Beard

Max still loves getting a bath. He had no help creating this beard. He just put his face down in the water, and that's how you make the perfect bubble gotee.

Being Mom to a Little Boy

As Maxi is growing, it is becoming more and more clear as to what it is like to be a mommy to a little boy. (I am sure that some of what I am experiencing is true for mom's of little girls too.) The last 2 days, Max and I have been out in the yard. I have been working, and he has been, well...roaming, digging, exploring and climbing. Every time we come back inside, he doesn't want to, and he is filthy. His clothes are covered in dirt, his hands are black and he has a dirt mustache on his lip.

What can I say...I love every bit of it!
